1-എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഡാർവിനിസം?
ഭൗതിക ലോകത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും അതിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനരീതികളെ കുറിച്ചും പഠിക്കാനും അതിന്റെ കണ്ടെത്തലുകൾ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്തുവാനും ഒരു മുസ്ലിമിന് ശാസ്ത്രീയ പ്രകൃതിവാദം (Methodological naturalism) ന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ സാധ്യമാണ് എന്ന് നമുക്കറിയാം. (7-ശാസ്ത്രവും ദൈവവിശ്വാസവും): അപ്പോൾ ഒരു ജീവശാസ്ത്ര ശാഖയായ പരിണാമ ശാസ്ത്രം മാത്രം എന്തുകൊണ്ട് പരിശോധിക്കപ്പെടണം?

Massimo Piattelli-Palmarini (b. 1942): പഠനം Theoretical biology. MIT, University of Geneva, and University of Arizona എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ സേവനം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഇത്ര പ്രഗത്ഭരായ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞന്മാർക്കു ഡാർവിനിസത്തെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു പഠനം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മേൽകൊടുത്തത് പോലുള്ള ഒരു ക്ഷമാപണം , ഞങ്ങൾ ദൈവവിശ്വാസികൾ അല്ലേ എന്നുള്ള ഒരു നിലവിളി നടത്തേണ്ടിവരുന്നത് എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ്? ഡാർവിൻ വിമർശനങ്ങൾക്ക് അതീതനായ ഒരു ദൈവം ആയിരിക്കുന്നു, എതിർ പഠനങ്ങൾ ശാസ്ത്രം തന്നെയല്ല എന്ന് പറയുന്ന വിധം ഡാർവിനിസം വിശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നെല്ലാം പറയേണ്ടി വരുന്നത്?
ശാസ്ത്ര പഠന മേഖലകളിൽ ബിഗ് ബാങ് സിദ്ധാന്തം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്, ക്വാണ്ടം സിദ്ധാന്തം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്, നിലവിലുള്ള ചികിത്സാ രീതികൾ പരീക്ഷണ വിധേയമാക്കപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്? എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഡാർവിനിസം, പഠന ഗവേഷണ മേഖലകളിൽ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അവർ അനഭിമതർ ആവുന്നത്?
ഡാർവിനിസം എന്ന മതം:
“ബുദ്ധിപരമായി സഫലീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട യുക്തിവാദി ആകുവാൻ ഡാർവിനിസം കാരണം സാധ്യമായി”. (Richard Dawkins)
ഡാർവിനിസം എന്ന പരിണാമ സിദ്ധാന്തം ഒരു പ്രാപഞ്ചിക സത്യം എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് അവതരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. അതൊരു ശാസ്ത്ര സത്യമാണ് . മനുഷ്യ സൃഷ്ടിപ്പ് ഭൗതികമായി വിശദീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു ഇനി ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യം ഇല്ല. ഇതാണ് ഭൗതികവാദികൾ മുന്നോട്ടു വെക്കുന്ന വാദങ്ങൾ. അങ്ങിനെയാണ് അവർ ഡാർവിനിസത്തെ നിരീശ്വര യുക്തിവാദം സ്ഥാപിച്ചെടുക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
ഡാർവിനിസം ലോകത്തെ മാറ്റിമറിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഡാർവിനിസം പോലെ ഇത്രയധികം രക്തച്ചൊരിച്ചിലിനു കാരണമായ മറ്റൊരു തത്വശാസ്ത്രം മനുഷ്യ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. അത് ദൈവ നിഷേധം പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചു. അത് ഏറ്റെടുത്ത സോവിയറ്റ് യൂനിയൻ, ചൈന തുടങ്ങിയ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിൽ ലക്ഷങ്ങൾ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. സദാചാരം എന്നത് ഒരു ഒരു സാങ്കല്പിക ബോധം മാത്രമാണെന്ന് വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചു. ഡാർവിനിസത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ഉടലെടുത്ത "യൂജെനിക്സ് ", വംശീയ ഉന്മൂലനങ്ങൾക്കും വർണവെറിക്കും ഡാർവിനിസം ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തി. ഡാർവിൻ ന്റെ പുത്രൻ ലിയോനാർഡ് ഡാർവിൻ യൂജിൻ സൊസൈറ്റി യുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആയതു യാദൃച്ഛികമായിരിക്കില്ല. യൂറോപ്യൻ വെളുത്ത വർഗക്കാർ കോളനിവത്കരണത്തിനു മുൻകൈയെടുത്തതും ഇന്നും ഡാർവിനിസം ഇത്ര തീവ്രമായി പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കാൻ മുൻകൈ എടുക്കുന്നതും ഈ സിദ്ധാന്തത്തിന്റെ അനന്തരഫലം ആവാനേ തരമുള്ളൂ.
